Dress for Success is a non-profit organization that "empowers women to achieve economic independence by providing a network of support, professional attire and the development tools to help women thrive in work and in life."

This is a mission that Onyx & Wolf is happy to support because we believe strongly in giving women an opportunity to strive to be their best selves.

The mission of Dress for Success

As women, we can be hesitant to ask for help or what we are worth in the marketplace. But, when we can reach for our dreams, seek out and find financial independence, it opens up a whole new world for us.

Dress for Success isn't just providing clothing to individuals; (they are empowering women and giving them the tools necessary to be successful.) 

When I first walked into Dress for Success, I was very impressed with not only how fashionable it was but also how professional it was. I immediately fell i n love with the cool vintage vibe and knew that the Onyx & Wolf brand would be an excellent fit.

Onyx & Wolf was created from a desire to display beauty, truth, and love; to inspire you to seek out authenticity and healing in your own life, as I have in mine. Dress for Success embodies these values by( giving women the opportunity and means to look good, feel good, and succeed.) 

Giving back, tzedakah, is important. It's a part of my daily spiritual work. Partnering with this nonprofit is all a part of a much bigger process.

Giving empowers others and self

I've always felt it was important to give back to the community where and when I could. In the Jewish Religion, this is called Tzedakah, a form of social justice in which the giver benefits from the act of giving as much or more than the recipients. Tzedakah is about more than a financial gift or donation; it is about building trusting relationships by providing one's time, effort, and knowledge.

I had the opportunity to attend a recent Dress for Success brunch, and I witnessed firsthand how dress and community can boost one's confidence, build self-esteem, promote networking opportunities, and more. The best part of the day was meeting women in the community who support other women and care enough to uplift and encourage one another's growth.

When we feel our best, when we love the bodies we are in, then we present ourselves to the world with a beautiful confidence that is contagious. We all have that one piece in our closet or our jewelry box that boosts our confidence level. These are the pieces we save for the special events, for the interviews, for the first dates, and the moments we face down our fears.

Women are needed more than ever in the workplace

The world has changed, and so has the workplace.

A survey of over 800 U.S. women revealed that 75% of women are not confident in their work relationships and lack the supportive environments and professional networks necessary for growth.

Individuals have been leaving the workforce in record numbers, so much so that this period of time has been coined The Great Resignation. As a result, businesses are looking for new talent, and Dress for Success is empowering women to fill these roles because they know that women are key to post-pandemic leadership.

Dress for Success, which began operating in 1997, has assisted over 1.2 million women in obtaining economic independence globally. They aren't slowing down, and Onyx & Wolf is excited to join them!
